On Sunday, August 13, 2023, the jubilant spirit of Pakistan's Independence Day fused with the lively atmosphere of Brooklyn as Tex's Chicken and Burgers took part in the Brooklyn Mela. This event not only commemorates Pakistan's freedom but also serves as a platform to unite people from various backgrounds in a cultural exchange.
As the sun graced the Brooklyn sky, families and individuals gathered on Coney Island Ave to cheer on live performances, indulge in an array of flavorful cuisines, and engage in delightful games that ignited the laughter of children and adults alike. As one of the sponsors of this joyous celebration, Tex's Chicken and Burgers embraced the opportunity to connect with the community in a meaningful way.
Festival-goers gathered at the Tex's Chicken and Burgers booth which was set up outside our store location at 1000 Coney Island Ave. The interactive "spin-to-win" game encouraged festival attendees to download and sign up for the Tex's app in order to spin the wheel. Prizes included free regular fries, free classic chicken sandwiches, or limited-edition Tex's apparel, including shirts and hats. Players also won loyalty points, known as "spurs", on the app which could be redeemed for complimentary meals at any store location.
Every participant in the spin-to-win game was also automatically entered for a chance to win two raffle baskets brimming with delectable treats. While two lucky winners went home with the baskets, we also made sure that every single visitor to the booth left with a reward and a smile!
